Everyone has a best friend, at least one person. I am happy to say, I've got two best friends. Best friends who have blessed me deeply. They have stuck by my side through the good, and the not so good times. When I'm down they are so good at wiping my every tear away. They understand me, love me protect me. I love them both very much. By now you may be wondering who I'm talking about. Jesus, and the man He gave me, who I am privileged to say is my Husband.
This blog post is all about acknowledging the two greatest men in my life.
My amazing Husband, who is always so brave, strong and wise
And my wonderful Lord Jesus my Savior, my guide and ultimate provider and protector
To my Saviour Lord, thank you Jesus for being the best dad a girl could ask for. You have never failed me! And you never will! God's love never dies...I love you! I love how you know my heart and motives, even when I don't know my own. I love how you gently guide me in love when I walk astray. You are why I live. You hold my every moment. You calm my raging sea. You walk with me through fire. You heal me, you help me. Lord you are my rock. Lord, your all I need. Lord you are my portion. Lord you are more than enough for me. Jesus your all I need! I love how I can put all my trust in you. I love that I can feel secure. I'm glad to know that I am not alone on this earth, for you walk beside me wherever I go. Jesus, thank you for being such a great friend. True friends are always honest with each other-even when it hurts. Lord, thank you for being that true friend. Thank you for being brave, strong, compassionate, caring, true, just, mighty, gentle, powerful, quiet, loud, giving, nurturing, wise, careful, patient...
Lord, thank you most of all, for dying on the cross for me and raising again. I know I don't deserve it but, I thank you Lord for that sacrifice. Your love is unfailing. I love you Lord! I love you Lord! Thank you for coming into my heart and blessing me, Oh! My blessed Saviour. I pray that I have been a blessing. Oh how can I ever say enough! Lord I will sing forever of your mercy! And grace! Forever! I will share your love! Lord, I need you, guide me daily Lord in your ways. For I fail daily...help me to hide your truth in my heart. May it bring honor to you Lord. Take all the praise! It's yours! My High master, and friend! I'll love you always!!!

To my amazing Husband, my sweet soul mate...oh where do I begin! I thank God for sending me to you. You have challenged me in so many ways...you have helped me to grow in those times. I wouldn't be who I am, or where I am if it wasn't for the Lord working so powerfully through you. Thank you for being so sensitive to the Lord's guidance, and being aware of His promptings. You are an amazing leader. God has given you such a gift for leading and guiding. You are so precious! I'm sorry for not always being as patient as I need to be, or as wise as I should be. God has certainly sent me a man who is very good at being patient! That is just one of the sea full of things you are good at. I am so grateful for your patience! It's through watching you, and how patient you are, it causes me to want to react in the same way. Honey, you are so special to me. I don't know if you truly know how much. Sometimes, I wonder why you chose me. Thank you for choosing me! No man has ever made me feel so special and beautiful. Thank you for making me feel like a princess...a queen!
Some women may desire a man who wears cammo and ripped jeans, who isn't one of godly character.. one who, doesn't apply himself..why settle for less ladies! Sweetheart, you are my knight in shining armor! I'm so glad I didn't settle for less! I'm so glad you waited for me. Daily, you sweep me away in your love. I cherish you, honor you, respect you, care for you and love you greatly. It may not always come across that way, but as you always say, "We must know each other's hearts...we must remember that our motives are never to treat each other wrongfully." You sweetheart have wisdom beyond your years! I love you man of God! You truly do have the heart, after the heart of God. You my love, Are the best man among all men! I'll love you always!!!
To my two best friends forever and always:
What about you? Who would you consider your best friend(s)? How do you feel they've helped you in life? Feel free to share! It might be a blessing to someone!

Hello!
I just came to your blog from the Duggar Family blog.
My husband is also my best friend. Like you and your dh, we married young. I was 19--by 2 months, and my dh was 21. We faced a lot of people telling us we were too young to marry and giving us a lot of negative feedback.
By God's grace, we celebrated our 25th anniversary this past April. :-)
Of course our faith played a large part in the success of our marriage, but I do think that having your spouse as your best friend makes a big difference too. I have seen a lot of marriages that have suffered because the wife (and sometimes the husband) has girlfriends that pull her away from her marriage and divides her attention.
Keep focusing on your home and marriage and be ever so thankful for that man who is your best friend too. :-)
Thank you for your comment Michelle! Congratulations on your anniversary! WOW 25th! How wonderful! God's grace is sufficient! He is so good! And all the time :)
My Husband and I feel the same way, faith in the Lord and striving to live for Him daily and knowing that we're Best friends through it all..is definitely something that makes marriage work. "If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand." (Mark 3:25) Bitterness, rage, hatred etc. all bring, division. In marriage, we must love one another, and listen to God for guidance and wisdom if we desire a successful marriage that will last.
God Bless! And thank you for your wise advice!
Walk with Jesus!
-Tina
